Questions Welcomed

Tuesday, July, 29, 2008

I’ve been trying to take in stride next Wednesday’s big skirt! interview. I’m happy to announce that we’ve been granted an interview with Mayor Pam Iorio of Tampa for our upcoming October issue. This is very exciting for all of us here in the office, and while I’m trying to keep my composure and not freak out TOO early in the planning, it also dawned on me – what a wonderful opportunity to get to meet a local leader in person and get 15-20 minutes face time. I’m not even a resident of the City of Tampa but like many other people in the area, I recognize the woman’s obvious dedication to making lives better in the Bay area and never backing down from her convictions.

So now I’m faced with a challenge. Wow. Twenty minutes with this smart, accomplished woman and there are a million things I could ask her about – which ones do I choose? And I also realized something else – I have plenty of friends here in the Bay area who might have ideas, too. So what if you were in my shoes,  could ask the mayor something, whatever you wanted to know, what would you ask her?

Would you ask about her policies, her future plans, her past words or actions? Do you want to know what thoughts and concerns weigh heaviest on her mind? Maybe you’re just curious about her favorite book or TV show.

So I ask you – what would you ask the mayor? Send me your questions at ckuhn@tampabayskirt.com or leave your thoughts here. I’m really curious to hear from women in the Bay area about what matters most to them, and I promise to do my best to get some answers for you.

And thanks in advance for your suggestions!
