Last night, I got an opportunity to witness one of our Tampa He’s So Original fellas in action – you know, our “men in skirts” that we love to feature here at skirt! Okay, technically, he hasn’t achieved this grand distinction just yet, but you’ll know him very soon. In fact, you’ll get to meet him tomorrow when our July issue debuts at the bright green racks all over town.

My family and I attended the kickoff performance of the Young Comedians Tour at Sidesplitters Comedy Club in Carrollwood last night and enjoyed watching six fresh, talented funnies give local folks itching for a laugh plenty of giggles. One of these young comedians? Rolyn Lewis, our pick for July’s He’s So Original honor. (Last night, sans the skirt, of course.)

He and his colleagues Brian Sawin, Sharon Gabaree, Paul Soleo, Rahn Man and Jodi White kept the pace going for two straight hours and definitely won over the crowds with their quick wit and one-two punchlines. The tour continues for several more dates across the state, and based on last night, there will be a lot of laughing from coast to coast.

Great job, Rolyn! And way to sell that skirt!... with confidence.
