So I do need a wife!

Gloria Steinem said, “Every woman needs a wife,” and my girlfriends and I jokingly make this statement when things get hectic. Most of my girlfriends are married to men. It’s not meant to be stereotypically used –  in the cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping sense – we just know us women kick butt when it comes to getting things done. I’ve never heard my lesbian girlfriends declare such a, “I need a wife” statement, perhaps because everything is just “wonder woman squared” and getting done.

Well, when I say “wife” now, I mean the Women’s Institute for Financial Education. WIFE is a non-profit organization that provides financial education to women so that they will be successful, prosperous and financially independent. I signed up for their newsletters a few weeks ago and they provide great financial tips and money sense.

I’m enjoying their savings calculator although I’m having trouble committing to that one item I need to give up in order to save a buck or two. I have found some things for my husband to give up so that I don’t have to...that’s called strategic investment planning. ; )
