Tampa Bay Skirt!

I am sorry to announce that April will be our last print issue distributed in the Tampa Bay area.

Due to the economic climate that we are now facing, skirt! has had to make some difficult decisions.  We have decided to suspend print publication and instead turn skirt! Tampa Bay into a online-only market.  We have found great success with other online-only markets and feel that this is the right choice that will still allow us to serve this fantastic community.

What this means is that you will still be able to receive the same great national and local content online, we just won’t be on the street.  I don’t have to tell you how special and unique the women of Tampa are -- we get to embrace and experience this community daily online.  Our company is committed to finding new and better ways of providing skirt! content and community to our digital audience.

Next month, you will begin to see significant changes to the local Tampa Bay site including a new redesign.  We plan to enlist the help and support of local women and writers.

We hope that you will embrace this change with us and help us build and shape the new skirt! Tampa Bay online. We hope that you will continue to love and support skirt! Tampa Bay as the place that empowers all women.  Without you, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.  Exciting times are ahead, stay tuned!

Hello! Glad to hear there will still be a Skirt! presence in the Tampa Bay area ... still, will miss the print edition. Ester, from LocalShops1.com

Is This a Joke?

I'm hoping that this was some kind of April Fool's Day joke. My coworkers were moving cars yesterday and telling people their cars were towed, so I'm hoping this is just another "towed car". I have the feeling that you would not be so cruel. What happened? Will we ever be able to find the bright green box on our corner again? Can you just have maybe one location where we can pick up a copy? I'm happy that we still have the web connection, but for those of us who like the feel of the printed word, which I'm sure is most of us, we will miss Skirt! dearly. This is very sad. Is there anything we can do to pick it back up and bring it to its feet again? Do you need more readers? More advocates? Let me know how I can help! Liv
