Happy post-Super Bowl, post-some Gasparilla events and pre-other Gasparilla events...Gasparilla ends in August, right? Feels like it sometimes.

• Greg Todd of the Bullioneers shared news with me that their organization will be working closely with the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay on the Center’s Mar. 21 Survivor celebration event. 

• I am completely taken by a new blog on the inner beauty of women by – gulp – a man? You’ve got to read it to believe it, ladies. It’s good. 

• I’m bummed I won’t be able to check out this cool interactive photo event but if you happen to be in the Ybor area this Friday night, stop by and say hi to man of the hour behind the lens, Ryan Prado. And tell him skirt! sent you!

• One of our skirt! advertisers Southern Crafted Homes is sharing home-building advice with our readers at their new building know-how blog.

• Don’t forget this Saturday, Feb. 14 is Tampa Bay Rays Fan Fest...okay, for many women perhaps not the best way to spend Valentine’s Day, but certainly works for this baseball fan! Oh, and pssst! • Remember Julia Gorzka, Brand Tampa extraordinaire? She was featured in our Dec 2008 issue of skirt! Apparently, she’s been busy at work preparing an upcoming Cigar City Tales of the Past GhostTour that she’s been tweeting about. Can’t wait to check it out Mar. 20!
